Maple-Glazed Chicken

Serving Size : 4-6 servings


1/2 cup maple syrup
8 tsp. lemon juice or cider vinegar
4 tbsp. butter
4 whole chicken legs, cut into drumsticks and thighs
Salt and pepper

How To Cook:

Preheat the oven to 450 degrees. Place chicken in oven while making syrup mixture. Combine the maple syrup, lemon juice or vinegar, and butter in a small saucepan; simmer for 5 minutes. Line a baking dish with foil, and grease. Pat the chicken dry (and trim excess skin, if desired), and lay it on the foil. Season with salt and pepper. Bake for 10 minutes, then pour half the maple glaze over the pieces. Basting occasionally, cook for another 30 minutes or until the meat is cooked throughout and the juices run clear. 5 minutes before taking chicken out of oven pour on remaining glaze.
